What You're Saying
I am not from Cincinnati originally and I thought this would be a good way to learn more about what non-profits are out there. Little did I know that I would find this particular non-profit so rewarding.

About Us

The Impact 100 Story

In September of 2001, an idea to promote philanthropy among women formed in the mind of Wendy Steele. With the help of close friends and business associates, that idea became the non-profit organization operating as IMPACT 100.

Impact 100 is committed to improving Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky by collectively funding significant grants to charitable initiatives. Impact 100 has given over $1,600,000 to the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky community in the seven years since its founding. By pooling their contributions, our members have invested in non-profits that provide sustainable solutions for people who lack access to basic necessities like health care, quality shelter, education and job training.

The direct beneficiaries are the Non Profit Organizations who've received these transformational grants, and the people these organizations serve every day.

There are indirect beneficiaries as well -  hundreds of other non-profit agencies whose good works have been reviewed, discussed, and seen first-hand by the members of the organization. Many of these worthy organizations have received other grants or funding as a direct result of the exposure gained through their application to Impact 100.

Our Impact members greatly benefit from supporting our organization. Some get great satisfaction from participating on the award finalist selection teams, and all of our members learn more about our community from the many non-profit organizations in the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area. Our members report a 99% satisfaction rate with their Impact 100 experience, and 100%*recommend membership to their friends or colleagues. Our members range in age from their 20’s to their 80’s, have widely diverse career choices (employed full time or part-time, retired, working at home), and come from over 30 zip codes in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. We continue to actively seek to expand the diversity of our member base.

Of course, the beneficiary of Impact 100 is the community as a whole. What began in 2001 as an idea in the mind of its founder has become a viable sustainable, valuable and effective organization that continues to carry on the mission that women began long ago – promoting human welfare through the caring actions of people working together toward a common goal.
