Impact 100 Board is pleased to announce that we have been named a finalist for the second year in a row, in the non-profit category, for the 2010 Torch Award, sponsored by the Better Business Bureau. In July we proudly submitted our application to be considered a finalist for this highly coveted award. The Torch Awards celebrates an exclusive group of businesses and non-profits that have exemplified their commitment to ethics and integrity in the workplace.
The Torch Award application process is one that takes a great deal of time and an honest internal assessment of not only our ethical practices, but our intent as well.
We strongly believe that Impact 100’s commitment to the greater good of community philanthropy, and the diversity of the grants we have awarded, certainly qualifies us to be in the running to receive this award. Through our giving process we have demonstrated how much we value our members, non-profit applicants and those in need. As a result, we have built strong community trust in the funding decisions we have made.
This stellar event takes place on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Duke Energy Center. Being named a finalist for 2010 is truly an honor, and stay tuned for more details. Everyone will be invited to attend to see if we are named a winner!
