It was thrilling to be on Fountain Square August 22nd to announce our 2011 Impact 100 Finalists. Even more inspiring was to have our previous recipients (16 since our inception in 2001) represented as well. It is exciting to know that two of the four 2011 finalists will join this elite group of Impact 100 grantees after our Annual Awards Celebration (AAC) September 15th.

The four finalists for this year’s Impact 100’s grants were announced Monday on Fountain Square. Two of these organizations will receive $112,000 on the evening of September 15th.

The morning of Saturday, August 6 started very early for some of our members who set up the Impact 100 booth at the Lady Distance Classic in Blue Ash. Over 2 dozen members walked, ran or womaned the booth where they talked with 400 women who learned about Impact 100 and Wine, Women & Shoes.

In 2009, Impact 100 awarded one of its grants to Lighthouse Youth Services to expanding Anthony House’s days of operation from three to five days. The increased hours that the Impact 100 grant provided have proved to be very beneficial and has allowed them to be more strategic.
