For many Impact 100 members, this is a busy, exciting and heart-warming time of the year. All of our Grant Review committees are in full swing and executing the due diligence necessary to insure that we will fund high quality and sound programs in 2010. Over 100 members signed up to participate on a grant review committee or CIRC this year! It is always exciting to meet other Impact 100 members and appreciate the experiences and insights that different women bring to the table. Our process is geared at efficiently evaluating the merits of each grant request and then focusing our attention on the details of the program or project and the quality of the agency that is proposing it. The chair of each committee is charged with facilitating the process and providing an environment that the opinion of every member is heard and respected. Each member brings a unique set of talents and outlooks that make the process of grant review thorough and discerning.

Site visits are currently being conducted all over the city and will be completed by the end of May. Site visits are the experiences that are cited most often when members explain their passion for Impact 100. They give all of us the opportunity to see the needs of our community with our own eyes and experience the wonderful work that nonprofit organization are doing in our community. Going on a site visit is certainly a peak experience for many Impact 100 members.
